Melissa Walker was our first ever US women
rider.
"......Everything was so incredible, 9-days just wasn't
enough time. The tour leaders were very professional and kept us
informed of the local customs and culture.
I was able to ride at my own pace and on the days I didn't want
to ride I rode on the support vehicle with Debbie. Troy was still
able to get in a hard ride.
I was surprised by the level of luxury in the accommodations -
I suppose we didn't really know what to expect. I really loved
World's View and the Valley of 1000 Hills, but it is really
difficult to pick my highlight - I was pretty much blown away by
Africa in general. I highly recommend African Offroad Tours to any
couple!......"

"......It was a total blast - The KTM 520 was awesome - I
want one! I could have spent more time at every place we went - I
could have stayed another two weeks. We were really well taken
care of. The best for me was the riding terrain. I didn't know
what to expect - I was surprised at the variety and how arid the
Sani Pass was. The most challenging aspect was the hill climb in
the tall grass, but the part I enjoyed the most was going
exploring new terrain with Craig and Warren.
At the start of the tour I got really tired and my muscles
really ached - by the end of the tour I felt I could have ridden
forever."

".......what an absolutely fantastic 9 days. it couldn't have been better. Danny Steyn asked me what they could have done to improve our experience in Africa and I told him - DON'T CHANGE A THING! The entire tour ran like clockwork. During a night game-drive at Hluhluwe game reserve we were very fortunate to experience an attempted lion kill on a buffalo. And then the following day on our departure we were surrounded by a heard of elephant - something that I will never
forget. I was very impressed with our tour leaders Craig and Warren and how concerned they were for our well-being. My son Oren is a much better rider but they were always able to give us alternative routes - those that challenged Oren and those that I was happier riding. I am going to organize a bunch of my friends and we will be back!"

"......The Roof of Africa Trail was just plain Awesome - It was way more fun than I ever expected. I just wish more of my friends had come over with us to enjoy it. I'll be back, that's for sure!"

".......When I told my riding buddies in Akron that I was thinking of going to Africa to go trail riding, they thought I was nuts. Why go all the way to Africa, they asked. When they see my photo album they'll know why. I got to stand only feet away from rhino and elephant - I was way more scared on the game trails than I ever was riding on the Roof of Africa Trails. Next year I am going back with my wife."

" Man, everything was just perfect, the bikes, the views, the riding, the food, the hotels. Only thing wrong was having to go home. Could have stayed another week at least. Bought some great African art on the side of the road. Now my girlfriend wants to go with me next year - just to go shopping!"
